Polina Chrysafi

Polina is a performer, dance maker and dance teacher based in Athens. She is a graduate of the Biology Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (BA) and an honours graduate of the professional dance school Rallou Manou and SEAD (Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance).
She has participated as a dancer and creator in international and local festivals, such as Tanzhaus festival, Sommerszene festival, Athens and Epidaurus Festival, International Black Sea Theatre Festival, SoloDuo Tanzfestival, Dance Days Chania (with the support of Flux laboratory Athens, DDC10), Athens Video Dance Project etc.
She has collaborated with international artist Katie Duck for the Greek version of the performance ''Cage''(May 2023). 
Since 2021 she founded and operates the artistic and kinetic practice space Tanzterrain  in Kypseli area, with the vision to house, host and share a variety of kinetic practices, embodied experiences and artistic desires. In this context, she organizes seminars with international and local artists, hosts short residency programs, European training programs, instant composition practice sessions for professional artists and teaches/shares her personal artistic perspective through the art of dance.
She is also a regular collaborator of the theatre group Art Vouveau and an active member of the multidisciplinary art group Hypothetical fluid | compositions for vision, sound and movement.
